Tim Lincecum got a haircut

Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum chopped off his trademark locks.

It's not the first time it's happened, but it's a surprise every time: Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum has gone back to the barber shop.

Lincecum ditched his shoulder-length hair for a trendy clipped look he said was based off Matt Healy, lead singer of The 1975.

"I don't get [haircuts] very often. This is my third in two years," Lincecum said, according to MLB.com.

He added that when he does sit in the stylist's chair, "My mind goes to places like, 'Oh, what could I possibly do?'"

I guess we can call it a "mohawk/pompadour/Skrillex thing."
