The Harlem Globetrotters spent some time this week in Vatican City, where they met with Pope Francis and made the pontiff an honorary member of the legendary traveling team.
Now Meadowlark Lemon and the Bishop of Rome have something in common.
The Harlem Globetrotters spent some time this week in Vatican City, where they met with Pope Francis and made the Pontiff an honorary member of the legendary traveling team.
The group presented the Bishop of Rome with a jersey that reads "Pope Francis" on the back with the number 90, and even helped the leader of the Catholic Church spin a basketball on his finger.
Perhaps Pope Francis will now start using "Sweet Georgia Brown" as a processional hymn when he performs mass.
