The Potomac Nationals, the Washington Nationals' Class A advanced minor-league affiliate, are giving away half-man, half-animal "Buff-a-rine" in honor of Nats catcher Wilson Ramos.

As The Washington Post relates, the P-Nats have been giving away half-man, half-beast figurines for the past three seasons. Last year, Jayson Werth got the "Wolf-a-rine" treatment. You see, because he's really, really hairy.

Ramos, who currently holds a 15-game hitting streak, is captured on the figurine sporting a batting helmet and horns. The all-important context: his nickname is "The Buffalo."

The P-Nats will give this creation away to the first 2,000 fans in attendance for the July 5 game at Pfitzner Stadium against the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

This is pretty bizarre, but hey, at least it's not anotherBack to the Future promotion from a minor-league squad.
