Watch two bears duke it out over some trash on a New Jersey street
Two bears in Towaco, New Jersey, got into an aggressive fight over some trash.
New Jersey is the nation's most densely-populated state, so it may come as a surprise to hear that bears routinely fight each other over access to garbage in suburban streets. But a YouTube search for "New Jersey bear fight" turns up more than 15,000 results, and a woman from North Jersey captured new video this week of two black bears throwing down on her block.
Tracey Bednash of Montville Township spotted the two bears on her cul-de-sac trading blows and said it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
"It's not uncommon for them to come around here on garbage day and ransack the cans," Bednash told NBC 4 New York in an email.
