Oakland Athletics ball boy makes running play in front of Tigers catcher

The first-base line ball boy for the Oakland Athletics snagged a foul ground ball on the run directly in front of a waiting Tigers' bullpen catcher

The first-base line ball boy for the Oakland Athletics made an athletic Memorial Day play he'll likely remember for a long time to come.

Oakland catcher Stephen Vogt slapped an 0–1 pitch down the right field line foul in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday when the A's ball boy ran out of nowhere and scooped up the ball on the run.

He made the play directly in front of poised Tigers' bullpen catcher Jeff Kunkel, who gave the young man a pat on the bat as he trotted back to his chair, where he grinned from ear to ear.

This might be the most memorable move an Oakland ball boy has shown since 21-year-old Kevin Fennelllanded a date with a fan in 2010 after delivering multiple foul balls to her in the stands.
