Tom Brady replaced Manning brothers in Entourage Season 6 cameo

Tom Brady was Entourage's backup plan.

It appears the Brady-Manning rivalry extends even to the set of Entourage. 

Actor Jerry Ferrara, who plays the role of Turtle in the series and movie, was on SI Now on Thursday and discussed New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's cameo in the series. Brady appeared in a Season 6 episode titled "Fore!", in which he and Mark Wahlberg are paired with Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) and Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier) for a round of golf. 

Ferrara revealed that Brady's cameo was never supposed to happen. In fact, the Manning brothers were actually in line for the role. 

'That scene in the show where he's in the golf tournament with Johnny Drama and Mark Wahlberg was initially for the Manning brothers," Ferrara explained. "But then something happened where they had to pull out like four days before." 

Ferrara said that Wahlberg called Brady, who agreed to come on the show. 

Brady also has a role in the Entourage movie, which is set to be released on June 3.
