In a DuJour Magazine profile making the rounds Monday, New England Patriots tight end and indisputable Most Entertaining NFL Player Rob Gronkowski discusses his affinity for partying, tastes in wine and more.

The feature is full of hilariously Gronk quotes, but one seems particularly enlightening (emphasis ours).

“There’s definitely a time to party and a time to focus on work, but you need to let loose a little bit so that you can go back on Monday feeling refreshed and motivated to work hard again,” Gronkowski says. “People act like dancing is breaking the law and partying is a crime. Everyone thinks I’m in trouble 24/7, but what have I really done besides dance?”

Right on, Gronk.

Taking that into account provides great context for some of the incredible quotes included in the DuJour story, such as:

• On eating steak: “I usually don’t cut it before I eat it.”

• On taking a particularly big bite out of his steak: “Sorry! That was intense.”

• On his preferred alcoholic beverage: “My drink is usually vodka with water because it gets you hydrated and drunk at the same time.”

• On wine: “I never drink wine. There’s only one wine I like, but I forget what it’s called. It tastes like Sprite.”

DuJour also put together a fantastic video with Gronk, wherein he runs on the beach with models, dresses up as a gladiator and talks pool-side with a dog. Yes, the whole package is well worth a read and watch.
