Prices for commemorative NBA Finals concessions at Oracle Arena are steep
How much would you be willing to pay for a re-warmed hot dog and a glass of sub-premium beer at a sporting event? $8? $12? How about $15?
NBA fans at Game 1 of the Finals Thursday between Golden State and Cleveland are paying $25.50 for those items, before tax.
Chicken tenders and beer will run you $26.75, while those items with an add of garlic fries runs $28.00.
A burger that may or may not come with a souvenir cup reportedly costs $26.00, according to evidence below, courtesy of Twitter user DJ Folk who tweeted a photo of concession prices from the game.
While those prices might sound unusually steep, they're not entirely highway robbery. With your purchase you get a commemorative plastic NBA Finals cup that likely cost multiple cents each to produce.
And plastic cups with dates and logos on them will create memories in the back of a dark cupboard somewhere for decades to come.
