Dwyane Wade surprises South Florida high schoolers at graduation
After heavy lobbying from a graduating senior, Dwyane Wade appeared at a Florida high school graduation on Thursday.
Senior Negeen Fallahzadeh used social media channels persistently over the course of an entire year to secure an appearance from the Miami Heat star at her graduation from Western High School in Davie, Fla. outside of Miami, deploying the hashtag #WadeToWestern. As it turned out, it all worked.
Wade surprised everyone by appearing at the ceremony, which took place at Nova Southeastern University. He even took the time to address the student body, telling them to be "persistent" and "resilient" in their pursuits going forward.
Somewhat more importantly, because it's 2015 and, you know, millennials, Wade hugged Fallahzadeh on stage, and they took a selfie.
Wade further commemorated the event on his Instagram.

Lost in the shuffle, Western also got a nice message from the legend himself, Udonis Haslem.
