Warriors owner charters plane to Cleveland for all full-time employees
The Golden State Warriors are making their first appearance in the NBA Finals since 1975, so owner Joe Lacob is sparing no expense in making sure his organization gets the most out of the experience.
When the Warriors play Game 3 in Cleveland on Tuesday night, every full-time team employee will be in attendance. Lacob booked a charter flight to take them from the Bay Area to Ohio, according to KNBR's Dieter Kurtenbach. The team also booked 155 hotel rooms for them to stay in, according to ESPN's Ethan Strauss.
The staffers sure seemed excited when they took off:
• Joel Embiid ran into Riley Curry and snapped a paparazzi photo
It makes sense that the Warriors would want to be as well-represented as possible in Cleveland. Their motto for the playoffs is “strength in numbers.”
