Sonic is selling a melted slushie sipped by Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant is the new spokesman for Oklahoma City-based fast food chain Sonic, and to celebrate the partnership, Sonic launched the "Kevin Durant Signature Slush" which features candies suspended inside a flavored slushie drink.
Now the company and Durant have teamed up to turn Durant's half-finished drink into money for underfunded schools by auctioning off the liquid and candies from the melted drink on eBay.
Fans of the 2014 MVP can bid on individual candies, the melted slush liquid, or even the straw that Durant used while filming a recent Sonic ad, with each item coming with a certificate of authentication, including a funny factoid about the item and the signature of the Thunder star.
There are 35 candy blocks up for sale, in honor of Durant's jersey number, with prices currently ranging from just over $5 to $405 for a block containing multiple confections, while the slushie liquid is currently a steal at just $75 with all proceeds going to Limeades for Learning.
