Recreating Memorable Trading Cards
SI's annual Where are they Now issue is on newstands and as part of this year's edition we got famous athletes to recreate their famous trading cards. There are 10 total but (obviously) Kurt Rambis is my favorite. To view, drag the white bar from side-to-side to see the original and updated card.
How A-Rod Spends His $400 Million
Alex Rodriguez has earned nearly $400 million in his baseball career and Business Insider has a great look at how he's spent that money. Did you know there was once an Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz dealership in Texas.
Top Premature Celebrations
American runner Ben Payne lost the Peachtree 10K road race by 9/100th of a second when he celebrated his victory too early and was passed at the finish line. Pretty brutal way to lose. Luckily for Payne, he's just one of several athletes to suffer the humiliation of a premature celebration and subsequent loss.
Lovely Lady of the Day
Cindy Mello has a new photo shoot out for ASOS Swimwear and it's tremendous. She earns LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).
Sportsman of the Year
I know Carli Lloyd more or less has Sportsman of the Year locked up, but please take a second and appreciate David West giving up over $11 million to join the Spurs for the veteran's minimum. With so much talk about today's greedy athletes, it's refreshing to see someone leave so much on the table. That is all.
One Way to Fly Over Canada
Canadian entrepreneur Daniel Boria wanted to spread the word about his line of cleaning products so he tied a bunch of balloons to his lawn chair and voyaged across the Calgary skyline.

Can't Buy Me Love
Sad to hear about the death of Amanda Peterson, who played Cindy Mancini in Can't Buy Me Love. She was my second Hollywood crush (after Alyssa Milano). I urge you all to see CBML this week. It's a highly, highly underrated '80s movie.
The Beatles Top 10 Drumming Moments
