LSU's Mike the Tiger got a 10th birthday cake made of raw meat
LSU has kept a live tiger mascot on campus dating all the way to 1936, and the latest iteration, Mike VI, is turned 10 on Thursday, so the university celebrated by giving the big cat a cake made of raw meat and some hard boiled eggs.
LSU has kept a live tiger mascot on campus dating all the way to 1936, and the latest iteration, Mike VI, is turned 10 on Thursday, so the university celebrated by giving the big cat a cake made of raw meat and some hard boiled eggs.
The school is making the meat treats a tradition, after Mike feasted on a multi-tiered meal of turkey bacon, goat milk and beef last summer.
Hopefully the cake will entice Mike to be a little more active for this upcoming football season, as the jungle cat chose to sit out all seven of the team's home games last year, rather than watching from his tradition perch on the sidelines.
