New El Paso Chihuahuas jersey has giant pop art chihuahua face
For the second straight year, the Triple A El Paso Chihuahuas are wearing specials jerseys covered mostly by the face of a Chihuahua, and they’re a little less frightening this time.
Last year’s edition featured a photo-realistic dog face covering the entire front of the jersey. This year they’re wearing an “Andy Warhol-style jersey” that has a pop art drawing of a yappy little dog.

The jerseys will be worn on Sunday, and just like in 2014, they’ll be auctioned off for charity after the game. This year’s auction supports Creative Kids and From the Heart Rescue, a pair of El Paso non-profits. Creative Kids, which designed the jerseys, is an organization that gets underprivileged kids involved in art.
