The Utah football team can’t believe it got dissed in Popular Mechanics
Utah has mistaken Popular Mechanics magazine’s lack of college football knowledge for disrespect.
The calendar in the current issue of Popular Mechanics lets readers know that college football season begins on Sept. 3, with Michigan playing “a cupcake game against Utah.”

According to Salt Lake City’s FOX 13, the Utes clipped the page out of the magazine and hung it up in the locker room.
“Our team is always juiced no matter what,” Utah receiver Kenneth Scott told FOX 13. “So, with that little thing that they put in our locker room about us being a cupcake game it definitely puts more intensity into the game, just because of that little statement that was made. And plus we’re always trying to prove everybody wrong, because everyone sees us as the underdog, so we always have the chip on our shoulder.”
Only the folks at Popular Mechanics think Utah is a “cupcake,” though. Vegas has the Utes as the favorites to win at home after beating the Wolverines last season in Ann Arbor.
