Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta put the Dodgers to sleep on Sunday night, and addressed the media like he was ready for bed.

Arrieta held the Dodgers hitless on Sunday, striking out 12 in the process. After the game, he showered and put on his clothes for the plane ride back to Chicago—in this case a flannel onesie covered in little mustaches.

But it actually wasn’t Arrieta’s idea. According to Rays PR guy Dave Haller, pajama road trips are a Joe Maddon specialty, dating back to his time in Tampa. The whole team got in on the fun for the series finale in Los Angeles.

“It works both ways,” Maddon said before the game, according to ESPN.com. “If you win it's even better, and if you've lost it's kind of like, 'let's put this behind us and move on.' I see it as a win-win-win. It's about keeping the group together. It's about having fun as a group.”
