LeBron James-produced Survivor's Remorse picked up for third season
The LeBron James-produced Starz series Survivor's Remorse has been picked up for a third season.
The series, which follows the career of young pro basketball player Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher) from the beginning of his career onward, deals with the issues surrounding the life of a professional athlete off the court. The show centers around Calloway and his immediate family as they move to Atlanta and face the lifestyle changes that come with his newfound fame and money.
Survivor's Remorseis executive-produced by James and close friend Maverick Carter, as well as Red Sox chairman Tom Werner (a Hollywood veteran), among others. Emmy-nominated Mike O'Malley has signed on as lead showrunner for another season. James, who appeared in summer comedy Trainwreck to positive reviews, continues his foray into the world of film and television.

This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O’Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with ‘pro-money and pro-problems’ off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to STARZ for another season.”
Season 2 of the series debuted Aug. 22 to its best viewership yet. Survivor's Remorse has received an 81% approval rating on Metacritic.
