A tribute to Steve Weatherford’s tenure with the Giants
To reduce their roster down to 53 men by Friday’s deadline, the New York Giants cut ties with punter Steve Weatherford.
Weatherford, 32, spent four seasons with the Giants, after playing seven years for the Saints, Chiefs, Jaguars and Jets. He signed a five-year contract in 2012 after winning Super Bowl XLVI with New York. It was Weatherford’s punt in the opening quarter that helped force a safety to get the Giants on the board.
But Weatherford wasn’t just a contributor to the team’s on-field success. He was a regular contributor to fans' lives off the field
Let’s remember the greatest hits of this physically fit and outspoken punter.
