MAC, Sun Belt had a Star Trek GIF Twitter battle

College football fans know that weeknight football is the traditional home of #MACtion, a hashtag created by the conference and loved by fans for providing a much needed extra dose of football between Saturdays.
The Sun Belt Conference also plays some midweek football, and on Tuesday night Arkansas State and South Alabama squared off in a game that called the MAC to mind among many viewers, something which the MAC Twitter account enjoyed very much.

• Cubs’ Kyle Schwarber’s home run got stuck on top of the scoreboard
The Sun Belt decided they could not let another conference and First Officer Riker mock them so they quickly fired back.

After that riposte, many conferences would have called it quits, but the MAC dropped the hammer courtesy of Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
