The Mets are moving on to the World Series thanks in part to the heroics of second baseman Daniel Murphy, who has belted seven home runs so far in the playoffs after hitting just 14 in the regular season.

In honor of the suddenly sensational Murphy’s hot streak, Mets fans have taken to his Wikipedia page to hand him Reggie Jackson’s nickname, and an appointment to the nation’s highest court.

Murphy’s home run total still falls shy of Reggie Jackson’s career tally of 18, and he may not quite have the résumé needed to take a seat on the Supreme Court bench, but Murphy is certainly deserving of his latest accolade, NLCS MVP.
