Star Wars Frenzy

After a whole year of seemingly never-ending hype, the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally happened on Thursday night and it's safe to say that everyone seems to have caught Star Wars fever. A's closer Sean Doolittle was so excited to see the new Star Wars movie that he went to see the premiere dressed as a Wookie and had his girlfriend dress up as Darth Vader. She seemed less enthusiastic about the whole ordeal. Ronda Rousey went to see the movie in full Stormtrooper gear. Unfortunately, Darth Vader fan Jim Harbaugh did not get dressed up to see the film. If that's not enough Star Wars excitement for you, someone made a list comparing Star Wars characters to college football coaches. Also, here's what critics had to say about the original Star Wars movie after its debut in 1977.

After Kobe Bryant threw down his first dunk of the season Thursday night, Lakers rookie D'Angelo Russell earned himself a technical foul for running along the baseline in celebration. Upon learning that technical fouls in the NBA come with fines attached, D'Angelo asked Kobe if he could pay his fine.
