Minor league hockey team honors Don Cherry with ugly suit jerseys
Don Cherry and his loud suits have been an integral part of the hockey broadcasting landscape for over 35 years and Grapes' contribution to hockey and fashion will be honored by the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.

On Jan. 23, the team will take the ice wearing a blue and yellow checkerboard number that could charitably be described as bold, but more accurately described as painful.
The Don Cherry Night sweaters will be sold at the game via a live auction, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society and the team’s Walleye Wishing Well charity.
Earlier this season the Walleye teamed up with the Fort Wayne Komets for a special 8-Bit Night, which saw both teams in jerseys inspired by NES classic Super Mario Bros.
