Blair Walsh had a tough weekend, missing a short field goal that could have won the Vikings their wild card game against the Seahawks on Sunday.
Many Minnesota fans were upset with the kicker, so to cheer Walsh up, a group of first graders wrote him letters of encouragement, including compliments like “you are handsome” and “I hope the Vikings win the Super Bowl this year.”
Now the four-year veteran is returning the favor to the kids with a visit to their classroom on Thursday. Walsh called the cards “very touching” while addressing the class at Northpoint Elementary.
