John Calipari campaigns for former players to make All-Star game
Kentucky coach John Calipari reminded us on Friday that he has sent many players to the NBA.
Calipari dressed quite ridiculously and saluted his former Wildcats for their excellent starts to the season. Using a headband, fake unibrow and jersey, he made sure to highlight the All-Star worthy seasons of Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, Pelicans forward Anthony Davis and Wizards guard John Wall.
This entire video is one long humble brag, especially when Calipari made it to the Rising Stars game and ripped off five worthy young players. “Oh yeah, Nerlens,” he told an imaginary ‘Carlito’ on his shoulder. And, at the end, he name-drops Derrick Rose, his former player at Memphis.
• The Pistons made another Obama remix for Andre Drummond
Much respect to coach Calipari for doing this, and for wearing festive attire.
