Senators’ Bobby Ryan earned a fan a puppy with a goal

Bobby Ryan’s goal in the final seconds of the second period on Sunday did more than just give the Senators a 1–0 lead over the Rangers, it also earned a family a brand new puppy.
A young fan was seen holding up a sign at the game that read “Bobby, Dad said if you score a goal we get a puppy!,” and after Ryan scored, TSN’s Shawn Simpson tweeted out that the dad would honor his promise, and even name the dog after the forward.

Luckily for the family of four, Ryan held himself to just one goal during the 3–0 win, keeping the new additions to the household to a minimum.
