Russell Wilson announced as Wisconsin's commencement speaker
“It’s an honor to be the 2016 spring commencement speaker,” Russell Wilson said.
Russell Wilson has been named the University of Wisconsin's commencement speaker for the Class of Spring 2016, the university announced.
“It’s an honor to be the 2016 spring commencement speaker,” Wilson said a video released by Wisconsin. “I’m looking forward to it.”
Wilson led Wisconsin to a Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl appearance in 2011, his only season with the team after transferring from NC State.

The spring commencement ceremony will be held at noon on May 14 at Camp Randall Stadium. Katie Couric was the speaker for Wisconsin's Spring 2015 graduating class.
