Watch: Lady Gaga sings national anthem at Super Bowl 50
Grammy-winning pop star Lady Gaga sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 50.
Grammy-winning pop star Lady Gaga sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 50 before the Panthers and Broncos kicked off at Levi’s Stadium.
Gaga took the field in a sparkly red pantsuit to perform “The Star Spangled Banner,” accompanied by piano, as all 50 states were honored pregame.
Bovada announced that the anthem, from the first note to the end of the first “brave,” officially took two minutes and nine seconds. The prop bet over-under was at 2:20, and a surprise, second extended “brave” at the end of Lady Gaga’s rendition took the length over, causing some temporary confusion.
Carolina won the ensuing coin toss and elected to defer possession.
Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars are set to perform at halftime.
