Zenit St. Petersburg fires back after Daily Mail calls its crest ugly

The Daily Mail recently decided to stir up some controversy by listing what it believes to be the 10 ugliest team logos in soccer, citing teams like Wolfsburg, Red Bull New York and Zenit St. Petersburg for their lackluster designs.
The Russian club decided to fight back against the British tabloid’s assault on its crest, noting that perhaps newspapers in glass houses should not throw stones.

The paper and the team eventually came to an agreement that each simply preferred earlier logos better than their contemporary counterparts.
