Fans at Nashville Sounds games this season will be treated to some extra entertainment from country music legends Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire and George Jones in felt form as the trio rounds the bases as part of the new Country Legends race.
The stars will join sausages and presidents in the grand tradition of racing mascots at baseball games, and team owner Frank Ward told MiLB.com he hopes to expand the rosters with more musicians.
“We're hoping that as it picks up momentum we can have a cadre of stars alternating in different races.”
