Anyone who has ever looked up Kevin Durant’s official height has probably done a brief double take, as the lanky Thunder star is listed at 6'9" despite appearing to be closer to the seven-foot threshold.

The Wall Street Journal’s Chris Herring spoke with the former MVP about the discrepancy, and Durant admitted that he has a few different heights, depending on the situation.

“For me, when I’m talking to women, I’m 7 feet,” [Durant] said. “In basketball circles, I’m 6-9.”

Durant explains that he feels 6'9" is the proper size for his preferred position of small forward, despite having recently confessed in an interview that he is actually 6'11."
