At least a couple of players seem to be joining Bryce Harper’s quest to Make Baseball Fun Again.
During Thursday night’s games, Brandon Phillips and Daniel Murphy both had a little fun at their opponents’ expense.
Murphy’s tomfoolery also happened to be a pretty smart baseball play, preventing Yoenis Cespedes from having a chance to go first to third on a single. As an added bonus, he got to have a chuckle at his former teammate.

Phillips was just being a jokester, though, scaring the crap out of Juan Uribe by planting a tag on him when he didn’t even have the ball.
That’s playing the game the right way.
