Kevin Durant may have only taken a few days to decide where he was going to sign in free agency, but to NBA fans, it feelt like weeks. While they waited, they unearthed KD’s old tweets. And let me tell you—they are incredible.

Durant used to be a prolific tweeter. Some of his greatest content—and, really, the site’s greatest content—came from his thumbs five, even six years ago. He used to speak really candidly back then, because the site was still young, and his audience was significantly smaller than the 14.2 million who see his tweets now.

His tweets have been surfacing in recent months, and it’s probably the best work the social network has done in years. Durant’s old tweets deserve to be appreciated, years later, and some might warrant a spot in a museum somewhere.

Here are some of the tweets that have been re-shared.

Durant also used to love tweeting about the club.

And, fittingly, this one is great...

If Kevin wants to re-enter free agency, that’s OK with me. I’d love nothing more than to see more of these thoughts.
