Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon is the closest thing baseball has to a folk hero right now, with the veteran hurler somehow remaining effective despite his age and less than imposing physique.
In addition to having one of the fastest selling baseball cards of all time and his own museum in his hometown, Colon now has a very special and odd piece of merchandise for sale to commemorate his unlikely greatness. It's a T-shirt with his face all over it.
The shirt is available for pre-order from Forever Collectibles for $29.99 and does not ship until September, but this piece of MLB couture is definitely going to be worth the wait.
The 43-year-old is 8–5 on the season with an ERA of 3.48 after losing his start against the Cubs on Wednesday and giving up six runs in 4.1 innings.
