Steven Adams dropped his phone in the cold tub and was out of the loop during contract talks
His first purchase with his new contract? A phone.
After signing a four-year, $100 million extension to stay with the Thunder, center Steven Adams immediately bought a phone.
Why? Because he dropped his in the cold tub—and didn’t replace it for three days, making negotiations a bit difficult.
“It didn’t work for like three days, as stuff was going on,” Adams said. “My agent was trying to contact me and stuff, and I was like, ‘I can’t, I’m sorry, I just don’t have a phone.’ So that was my purchase [Monday].”
