Bill Murray’s face after the final out is what pure joy looks like
If you didn’t know better, you’d assume Bill Murray was a member of the Cubs. His face (and Eddie Vedder’s and John Cusack’s) appeared on TV so often during the playoffs that you might start thinking he was on the coaching staff or something.
All those pans to Murray were leading up to this specific moment—when Anthony Rizzo sealed the final out and the Cubs won their first World Series in 108 years.
Just look at Murray’s face. It’s tough to put into words how ecstatic he looks.
Perhaps even better than Bill’s ear-to-ear grin is his son Luke (a college basketball coach) exclaiming incredulously, “We won!”
