'Go, Cubs, Go' hits Billboard charts for the first time
"Go, Cubs, Go" has hit the Billboard top songs chart.
Despite being written in 1984, "Go, Cubs, Go" by Steve Goodman has debuted on the Billboard charts for the first time ever.
The song came in at No. 1 for Pop Digital Song sales and No. 49 overall for Digital Song sales for the week.
The Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in seven games to capture their first World Series title in 108 years.

The song definitely received a boost from Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler's performance of the victory anthem with Bill Murray on last weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live.
The cast of the hit Broadway show Hamilton also performed the song after a recent performance in Chicago.
