Cheerleader of the Week: Ellie
Cheerleader of the Week: Ellie
My friends would be surprised to know that I:
For a long time I wanted to be in the WNBA. My dad was a college basketball coach, so I grew up watching and playing basketball from a young age.
My favorite Phone App, Web Site and/or Blog is:
Pinterest, I love finding inspiration from others.
If you looked at the "most played" songs on my phone or streaming music account, you'd see a lot of:
A very wide range. I could listen to Kanye, Christian gospel and country all in the same playlist.
If I had to watch one movie or TV Show over and over and over again, it would be:
Fixer Upper
My worst habit is:
Drinking too much coffee. I can't go a day without my Starbucks
The most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me during a game is:
During a basketball game 12 members of my extended family all got up and started copying the dance I was doing on the court. I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop messing up.
My one guilty pleasure is:
Ruby Jewel lemon cookie lavender ice cream sandwich. I could eat one every night
Why did you decide to become a college cheerleader?
I grew up in Eugene looking up to the University of Oregon Cheerleaders. I wanted to be a positive, encouraging role model for other young girls to look up to.
Why do you want to become a Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week?
I want to be Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the week because I want to show that Cheerleaders are not all the same. I would love for people to see more about me than just the fact that I Cheer at the U of O. I want people to know that Cheerleaders are unique, intelligent independent women.
