The Panthers fired their coach on the road, so he had to wait for a cab

They literally kicked him to the curb.

Getting fired is never fun, but it’s tough to imagine a more undignified dismissal than Florida Panthers head coach Gerard Gallant’s.

Gallant was canned following a 3–2 loss to the Hurricanes in Raleigh on Sunday night. One way of putting it would be to say he was kicked to the curb. In this case, he literally was. Gallant’s luggage was taken off the team bus and he had to catch his own ride home.

Jeez, that’s rough. They couldn’t have booked him a flight home like the Braves did with Fredi Gonzalez?
