Remember in 2014 when Bob Costas skipped out of the booth while calling a Yankees game so he could use the bathroom? That’s a veteran move. As a rookie NFL announcer in 1994, Joe Buck couldn’t have pulled that off. Instead, he had to get desperate.

On the Dave Dameshek Football Program on NFL Network, Buck revealed that he once had to call a Brett Farve touchdown pass to Sterling Sharpe while peeing into a trash can.

Buck is actually fudging the details here a bit. It wasn’t the end of the half, it was hardly five minutes into the game. Come on, Joe, you gotta go before kickoff.
