Rumors are swirling that UFC champion Conor McGregor will appear in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones and UFC president Dana White may have confirmed the rumors.

“I knew that a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show,” White told FOX Sports Live. “I'm glad he did it. It'll be great.”

It’s unclear what role McGregor will have on the show, if any, but a GoT fansite is reporting that he’ll be pirate. Previous celebrity cameos include Coldplay's Will Champion and Icelandic band  Sigur Rós.
