After 480 days, The New Day was finally forced to give up its WWE World Tag Team Championship belts on Sunday.

The team of Sheamus and Cesaro beat New Day to kick off WWE Roadblock, ending the record-setting run set by the trio just days ago. They broke Demolition’s record at 478 days, and held a celebration on Raw.

Cesaro pulled off a slick move at the end of the match, intentionally not touching Sheamus’s hand on a tag, getting kicked, and then letting Sheamus pin Kofi Kingston to win the match.

Interview: Demolition on The New Day

The two began a feud months ago with a seven-match series before they were forced to wrestle together. They were shown “uniting” weeks ago and then began working together during matches instead of fighting the whole time. And, now, they have finally ended The New Day’s reign.
