Torrey Smith pays adoption fees for 46 animals at Baltimore shelter
Torrey Smith hasn’t played for the Ravens since 2014, but he’s still doing good deeds in Baltimore.
On Saturday night, Smith attended a fundraiser at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. At the end of the event, Smith and his wife, Chanel, surprised the shelter by announcing that they would be paying the adoption fees of all 46 animals at the fundraiser. The Smiths also made an additional donation, on top of the adoption fees.
“Thank you, Torrey and Chanel, for always looking out for Baltimore’s homeless dogs and cats and having such a big heart for our city,” the shelter wrote on Facebook.
Smith, who spent the last two seasons with the 49ers and signed with the Eagles this off-season, also holds an annual charity basketball game in Baltimore.
