49ers Player’s Wife Feared for Safety Amid Intimidation by Eagles Fans

Sydney Warner detailed her experience at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday in a TikTok video.

49ers linebacker Fred Warner’s wife, Sydney, posted a TikTok after Sunday’s NFC championship game in Philadelphia to detail the heckling she dealt with from Eagles fans.

Sydney admitted she has no intentions to ever return to Lincoln Financial Field after her experience there on Sunday.

“I’ll probably never go back to that stadium to be honest, I guess you can just call me a wimp, but I couldn’t handle the fans,” Warner said. “Like I’m 100% down for like riding for your team, like ‘Hoorah, let’s go team,’ but honestly I just didn’t feel very safe.

“Fred told me not to wear any red, I did end up wearing a red bag, but I had to end up hiding it underneath my jacket because people were doing the ‘F you’s’ and the shoving and the whole thing.”

She said that fans threw things and yelled stuff at her in order to intimidate her, but she tried to avoid it all and “block it out.”

At one point, an Eagles fan got in Sydney’s face while she was at the concession stand. Another fan nearby told the fan to calm down.

She detailed when she tried leaving the stadium and how she was surrounded by Eagles fans “heckling” her, and she even heard one fan yell “I hope your plane crashes.”

Sydney said she’s “all for passion” but she doesn’t plan on ever attending a game in Philadelphia again.
