Jets All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner is having his fair share of fun as the team’s rumored interest in trading for Aaron Rodgers continues to swirl.

Rodgers remained mum on his future with the Packers when their season came to an end last month, but it now looks more and more likely that Green Bay may move on from their star quarterback if he opts to continue playing.

Gardner has clearly taken those rumors and run with them, as he jumped on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon to continue to stir the pot.

“Aye Aaron Rodgers? [Nevermind] forgot what I was about to say,” Gardner tweeted.

The tweet has since been deleted.

If the Packers decide to move on from Rodgers, a trade to the Jets would make some sense. New York hired former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett last week to become the team’s new offensive coordinator. Hackett was Green Bay’s offensive coordinator under Matt LaFleur when Rodgers put up back-to-back MVP seasons.

Could a Rodgers-Hackett reunion be in store this offseason? Time will tell, but Gardner wasn’t going to let those rumors go by the wayside without having some fun.
