Aaron Rodgers Shares a Message for Davante Adams As Trade Rumors Persist

The Packers quarterback and Raiders wide receiver were teammates from 2014 to ’21.

It’s the offseason in Green Bay, so speculation is once again swirling around quarterback Aaron Rodgers’s future with the Packers.

Former Green Bay wide receiver Davante Adams, now with the Raiders, made his feelings clear on where the Packers should trade Rodgers on Wednesday morning. When a Las Vegas-themed account asked Adams to which neighborhood Rodgers was moving, Adams succinctly replied, "Mine."

On Saturday afternoon, Rodgers offered a humorous response to Adams’s tweet at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament. Referring to Adams's tweet, a fan called out to the quarterback, "Aaron, I heard Davante is looking for a neighbor, bro."

“Tell him to buy me a house. He’s got that money now,” Rodgers replied.

Rodgers’s response indirectly referenced the five-year, $141 million contract Adams signed upon his St. Patrick’s Day trade from Green Bay to Las Vegas last year.

The quarterback noted later in the CBS broadcast that encouraging comments from Raiders fans to the effect of "Davante misses you" were common as he and Canadian golfer Ben Silverman fired their way to a three-stroke lead on the amateur leaderboard.

It is widely believed that the Packers will try to trade Rodgers after he led Green Bay to an 8–9 record and a third-place finish in the NFC North in 2022.
