Chiefs’ Frank Clark Reveals Team’s Biggest Trash Talker
Following the Chiefs’ win over the Bengals in the AFC championship, fans might think of tight end Travis Kelce or quarterback Patrick Mahomes as being the biggest trash talkers on the team.
Those two players clapped back at Bengals players, and even Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval, who had smack talked them before the game, calling Arrowhead “Burrowhead.” Kelce promptly replied by saying “Burrowhead, my a--!” after the game.
However, despite these comments, Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark told reporters at his Super Bowl LVII press conference that some may be surprised with who he believes is the biggest trash talker on the team.
“The most trash? Tommy Townsend,” Clark said. “My punter Tommy Townsend talk the most trash, I swear to y’all. If he say he don’t, I don’t want to call him a lying man, but Tommy Townsend talk trash, y’all.”

Townsend is not a name most fans would think of when naming the most intimidating players on the field. But, Clark says to trust him when he says Townsend offers some serious trash talking.
The punter finished his third season on the team, earning his first Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors.
