NFL Fans Clown on JuJu Smith-Schuster’s Pregame Super Bowl Outfit

Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster arrived to the stadium on Super Bowl Sunday sporting a long sleeve white button-down complete with a green kilt.

The Kansas City wide receiver, who figures to have a major role in Sunday’s game with Mecole Hardman out of the lineup, paid no attention to the critics of his attire as he walked into the stadium.

The reactions on social media were incredibly critical of the Kansas City wideout, as is to be expected.

After spending the first five seasons of his career in Pittsburgh as one of Ben Roethlisberger’s top targets, Smith-Schuster has served in a different role in the Chiefs’ offense since arriving in Kansas City.

However, even though he is no longer the focal point in the offense, Smith-Schuster still enjoyed his most productive season since 2018, when he posted 1,426 yards receiving and seven scores. This year in Kansas City’s pass-heavy scheme with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Smith-Schuster hauled in 78 receptions for 933 yards and three touchdowns.

While he may not be a focal point in the offense like he was in Pittsburgh, he still plays an important role for the Chiefs. His play on Sunday in an increased target share with Hardman out of the lineup could end up being key for Kansas City if the Chiefs are to capture their second Super Bowl title in four seasons.
