Rob Gronkowski Misses Field Goal on Live Super Bowl Commercial
Rob Gronkowski has rarely disappointed in the Super Bowl before, but on Sunday, even he came up short.
The former All-Pro tight end joined forces with FanDuel in retirement and participated in the “Kick of Destiny” during Super Bowl LVII, when he had a chance to win $10 million for bettors during a live commercial—but it didn’t go as planned.
Gronkowski lined up for a 25-yard field goal in the third quarter and the stakes were simple. If he made it, bettors who wagered at least $5 on on the Super Bowl with FanDuel Sportsbook would split a $10 million pool worth of bonus bets.
With his coach and one of the best kicker’s in NFL history, Adam Vinatieri, in attendance, Gronkowski’s kick curved left. No good.
Gronkowski obviously never kicked during his NFL career, and there’s a clear reason why.
