Anthony Edwards Stars in Hilarious ’65’ Movie Promo Trailer

The Timberwolves star is certainly keeping busy outside of basketball.

After starring in “Hustle” with Adam Sandler last summer in the hit Netflix movie that featured multiple NBA players, Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards showed off his acting chops once again.

Minnesota’s rising star is certainly staying busy outside of basketball, as he filmed a promo for the upcoming Adam Driver movie “65,” which is set to premier in theaters in March 10.

The movie plot is centered around Driver, who discovers after a catastrophic crash that he is stranded on earth 65 million years ago. While the movie appears to be a thriller, the promo itself seemed quite comedic, with Edwards making a guest appearance and poking fun at Driver throughout.

The promo opens with Driver’s character proclaiming that “we crashed the ship on an unchartered celestial body.”

Without missing a beat, Edwards enters the shot and immediately makes fun of Driver.

“We? You crashed the ship!”

In the next scene, Driver says that there’s “something dangerous out there,” to which Edwards replies “Dangerous is my middle name.” When the scene shifts to a T-Rex chasing after them, Edwards hilariously yells out, “I lied! My middle name is Jamal!”

In the final scene, Driver is shown shooting at dinosaurs, with a frightened Edwards saying, “We should have never left the ship!”

Whenever Edwards’s playing career ends, it’s clear that he has a future for himself on the movie screen.
