Basketball World Reacts to Iowa Star Caitlin Clark’s Buzzer Beater

The Hawkeyes star caused quite the uproar on Sunday with a three-pointer to win in the final seconds.

Iowa star Caitlin Clark caused an uproar at Carver-Hawkeye Arena Sunday when she scored a three-point buzzer beater to secure a 86–85 win over No. 2 Indiana.

The No. 6 Hawkeyes trailed 85–83 with less than two seconds remaining, but Clark got ahold of the ball and sunk a shot from beyond the arc in the final second, giving Iowa the win.

As Clark’s basket fell, the crowd went wild, and her teammates ran onto the floor to celebrate.

The reigning Big Ten Player of the Year finished Sunday’s game with 34 points, 10 assists and four rebounds in 39 minutes played. She also scored over 30 points for the Hawkeyes the last time they faced Indiana, in a matchup that Iowa lost 87–78 earlier this month.
